Columbus City Utilities is pleased to announce that Travis Calhoun has been selected to fill the position of Associate Director of Treatment Operations. Travis was hired at the Utilities in 2012 in the Water Distribution department and then transferred to the Wastewater Treatment Plant in 2013. Travis has held various positions at the Wastewater Plant including plant operator, maintenance operator, and for the past two years he has served as Superintendent of the Wastewater Plant and managed the daily operations of the plant.

Travis is a member of the Water Environment Federation and the Indiana Water Environment Federation. He has participated for several years on the Utilities’ Wastewater Challenge team at the Indiana Water Environment Federation conference and also the Water Environment Federation conference. Travis is also active in the Southern Indiana Operator’s Association.

In his new role, Travis will oversee operations at the Wastewater Plant, the Water Plant, the Quality Control Laboratory and the Pretreatment Program. We are pleased to have a current employee with water and wastewater experience that is able to move into this role.
