On November 11th – 14th, Columbus City Utilities (CCU) staff participated in the C4 Preparing for College and Careers fall tours. Students and teachers traveled to the Wastewater Treatment Plant for a facility tour to learn what the Utilities provides for our community and future career opportunities. CCU staff included Heath Oaks, Industrial Pretreatment Coordinator; Angie Bowling, Quality Control Lab Superintendent; Chris Murray, Wastewater Plant Superintendent; and Travis Calhoun, Associate Director of Treatment Operations. Approximately 150 students visited over four days. Visitors learned about what it takes to provide the community with exceptional drinking water and wastewater. Staff covered the wide ranges of career opportunities and benefits that Columbus Utilities can offer.
