Columbus City Utilities held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Deaver Road Water Tank and Booster Station on Wednesday, September 17th, 2025. This event represented a major milestone in CCU’s ongoing commitment to improving the city’s infrastructure and ensuring a safe, reliable water supply for the residents of Columbus, Indiana.
Key highlights of the new water tank and booster station include: increased capacity, the new tank can hold two million gallons of water; improved water pressure throughout the system; and modern technology, the tank is equipped with the latest monitoring and maintenance technology to ensure efficiency and water quality.
“Our new elevated water storage tank has made such a positive impact on our water operations in the few months that it has been online. Thanks to our operations and engineering staff, contractors, and engineers involved in the project for making this a successful project,” said Ashley Getz, Associate Director of Engineering
