LEGAL NOTICE OF FILING FOR A CHANGE IN RATES AND CHARGES

BY THE CITY OF COLUMBUS WATER UTILITY

Bartholomew County, Indiana

Notice is hereby given that City of Columbus Water Utility, Bartholomew County, Indiana, under and pursuant to the Public Service Commission Act, as amended, filed with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission on or about May 10, 2022, a decrease in the schedule of rates and charges to reflect the recent removal of utility receipts tax in the calculation of rates and charges pursuant to HEA 1002. The decrease in these rates and charges is applicable to all customers except wholesale customers. The decrease in rates and charges results in a $0.20 reduction in the average residential monthly bill assuming 5,000 gallons.

The changes in schedules of rates submitted to the Commission are based solely upon HEA 1002, recently passed by State legislature. The decrease to rates and charges shall apply following final approval by the Commission or July 1, 2022, whichever is later.
