There are currently no interruptions to normal Columbus Utilities water and sewer services.
- IMPORTANT REMINDER - Summer Sewer Allowance Begins with June's usage shown on your July Bill
Spring is here. The birds are singing and the flowers are blooming again. It's still pretty moist out but soon your plants and lawn might need more water than Mother Nature is providing. Always use water wisely and sparingly, but also remember that for most residential customers your sewer charges
are based upon your water consumption except during the months of June through September when the sewer portion of your bill is based upon your average water billed during the previous February through April.
If you often water early and late in the season, you might consider creating an irrigation account. There are installation charges and you will have to provide all the private plumbing from the meter location, but water used in this account will not be billed sewer charges no matter in what month the usage occurs.
- For our residential customers, Summer Sewer Allowances will be reflected on your July billing (June consumption) and will continue through your October billing (September consumption), according to Columbus City Ordinance #3080 (click to read ordinance).
- For our industrial customers, click here for the City of Columbus Sewer Use Ordinance #2-2004.
- Utility Service Board Minutes now available online. Click here to read more.
